GCIC Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

Overview

The Global Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC) will work with relevant UN departments and experts, as well as leading universities in China and abroad, to organise an innovation and entrepreneurship competition (in the fields of carbon neutrality, climate change, sustainable development, green finance, ESG and other related fields). In this competition, we aim to explore how to break the old normal of inequality and vulnerability and find a safer and more sustainable way forward, as well as provide a global platform for cutting-edge exchanges to build a genuinely global carbon-neutral alliance, in response to the UN's ambitious vision for a better future through sustainable development.

Positioning

Competition nature: A non-profit competition dedicated to providing a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship teams related to climate change and sustainable development.

Categories: There are two tracks: Youth (secondary schools) and Adult (universities and working people).

Teams: Teams are drawn from around the world, but teams from other countries are also welcome to participate.

Judges: The judges are mainly experts in the field of climate and sustainable development and representatives of global VC investors or investment companies.

The competition's official language: is English.

We are committed to providing a platform for people with sustainable entrepreneurial projects or plans to showcase their teams and ideas, the opportunity to meet face-to-face with industry experts and investors, and the possibility of securing investment and post-promotion.
