GCIC attends the IPE's Pensions & Technology Forum: Focus on ESG seminar

On November 1st, 2022, GCIC attended the remote seminar hosted by IPE titled Pensions & Technology Forum: Focus on ESG. This webinar served to explain to pension funds, asset managers, and technology providers the technological needs of their respective sectors, and demonstrated how technological advancements have affected all three fields as well as its advancement on ESG policy.

The event was hosted by Sophie Robinson-Tillett, Contributing Editor at IPE and featured speakers including Andrew Flynn, Regional Sales Director at Clarity AI, Kai Rantanen, Head of Performance Reporting & Analysis at Nordea Life & Pension, and Jan Kaeraa Rasmussen, Head of ESG PensionDanmark. The panel discussed in particular methods on how to empower asset owners to deliver on ESG policies and guarantees, as well as advancements in climate data analysis, structured and unstructured data, impact investment measurement and visualization, and ESG reporting.

GCIC found the webinar to be very informative, as well as inspiring due to its inclusion of pension funds as a relevant sector when it comes to ESG policy. The Pensions & Technology Forum has demonstrated that ESG policy and climate change are important topics for people of all ages, not only the young and the middle-aged. We look forward to future events by IPE and see how they continue to expand their visions and solutions.
